Thought leadership doesn’t live only on social media, but I’ve gotta say: Most service professionals grossly underestimate how easily they could accomplish all their marketing goals with LinkedIn alone (we can talk about that when you apply). That said, I’ve helped people be visible on every marketing channel under the sun.
Whether you want to use email marketing, go on the podcast circuit, provide private workshops, or rely on backchannel networking, you need a publicly-visible body of work (could be your website, could be social media) that referral sources can send people to when your name comes up. What if I don’t have a large audience yet?
When it comes to online visibility, most people assume a “large” audience is a necessity, but it’s not. Audience size is only a priority for product-based businesses that require a high volume of purchasers. As a lower volume service pro, that’s not you, so you don’t need thousands of connections to stay fully booked. You need clarity of thought, regular engagement (notice I didn’t say daily), and messaging that positions you as the ideal choice for a specific type of client/project. That’s it.
I’ve tried messaging work before and the results were meh. What makes you different?
I’ve seen a lot of “messaging” work that feels more like smoke and mirrors. It sounds great in a doc, but doesn’t stick when you try to build something with it.
RECOGNITION isn’t just focused on finding new or better words. It’s that, yes, AND then linking all those words into a fluid structure. A house of ideas that intersect and support each other.

How much of a time investment should I plan for?
This depends on how much content you want to produce and get editorial feedback and coaching on. On average, I’d say you can plan to dedicate 3–4 hours per week. We’ll have one 60-minute deep work/strategy session every week, and the other 2-3 hours per week is time for reflecting, writing, and integrating feedback.
Most service professionals I know believe that doing the work is more important than talking about the work, so they haven’t normalized marketing as a recurring business task. But Lord almighty, it should be! Marketing is the process of stabilizing and growing your business, and every business needs that.

Will I end the program with content I can publish, or just ideas?
Lots of both. By the end of our 90 days, you’ll have ready-to-publish thought leadership content for your platform of choice and a repeatable messaging framework that will serve your business for at least 2 years (more, if your business model and ideal client type doesn’t change much) and the elevated writing skills needed to keep producing high-impact content on your own.
Will this work if my service or industry is highly technical, or contains intangibles?

Because RECOGNITION is a highly collaborative and customized experience, I don’t offer refunds. But that also means you’ll never be handed something out of left field.
The messaging framework isn’t created for you in isolation — I build it with you, drawing on our live sessions and the real-time refinements we’ll make together during the Mini Messaging Workshop. You’ll see every part of the process as it develops, and we’ll adjust until it accurately reflects your expertise and voice.
